The idea of the story of the game is that you are taken in and made part of an organization that basically protects time. The over-arcing story is kind of cool and I think had the writing been a tad better and the voice acting a lot better then it would have been quite epic. It is a great variety and each time period does feel different and that is something I like. One thing that I find rather interesting about Darkest Of Days is that the team behind this were newbies to the world of game development.
I know this sounds like a jerk thing to say, but you can tell this. I do not mean that this is a horrible game or anything like that, but as soon as you know that this is the first game of a new team much of what the game does makes sense.
